I was intrigued by the offerings, so I took photos with the blessing of the owner and nothing more.

There must be a rationale for pairing these ingredients together. The locals were packed into this place. It may be worth a try.

Of course, I'm the paranoid one...

I suppose it wouldn't hurt to visit a new establishment, though. And we don't have to finish what we order if it's inedible.

It's also a good opportunity to endear ourselves to the locals as well. Communities tend to like those who indulge in their cuisine.

And if I can be frank, I've had to try bizarre meals for work. This is only slightly outside the norm for me.

No, nothing to this extent.

However I was asked to try trendy items to maximize my popularity among others. It often didn't work with my palate.

There was a week when 'Devil ramen' was popular. I also tried a kakigori topped with charcoal and umeboshi.

Devil ramen, though... how much did you struggle to get through a bowl?
